KBF In the News

KBF Walkathon is Mentioned in India Abroad!
"Kids for a Better Future founded by Akash Mehta 10 years ago when he was in third grade, organized its 10th annual walkathon in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, May 6 for Coalition for the Homeless. A dynamic group of Brooklyn kids sought to focus attention this year on the fact that more than 62,000 men, women, and children sleep in New York City shelters each night. There are over 24,000 homeless children in NYC, and KBF members believe that every kid deserves a home. The 10th walkathon raised over $9,000 so far for the CFH, the organization said."

KBF's action along with Coalition for the Homeless to ask the Mayor to create more housing for homeless families was covered in the Brooklyn Daily Eagle.
